Aranga School have been doing the WBC programme with coordinator Kim Jones in Term One, 2012. They checked out their local waterways last week. Check out the video clip here or the data they collected here.
Then they ventured off to the Kai iwi lakes for some action! Students and parents worked with Kaipara District Council staff to plant 350 plants by the lakes and then they went snorkeling and learnt how to identify the native fish and plants and potential pest fish and plants. After this they took even more action by performing their Check, Clean, dry radio ads at the ski club and at their school prizegiving. An article they got published in their local paper about thier action to help spread the word is featured below. Go Aranga School!
